SAS Electrical did a partial rewire on this 3 bedroom detached bungalow in Cherry Willingham. The consumer unit was moved to the utility, it was originally sat in the top corner of a kitchen unit and was barely accessible. The circuits were then rewired as the layout had been changed significantly.
The old consumer unit (not rcd protected)
The new replacement BG split load dual rcd consumer unit
The first fix was completed with the sockets and cables channeled in to the wall. The cables can sometimes be difficult to secure to old brick work so on this occasion mini trunking was used with it screwed in to the bricks.
While capping, conduit and trunking are not needed, we like to use it to protect the cables from plastering trowels.
The pictures below show the complete second fix. SAS Electrical use a laser level to get all the sockets and switches positioned at the same height, this is particularly useful when the floor is not in, as in these pictures
